Roads are getting better. Thats what we can say right now. Most people prefer transport bus to travel within the city but there are lots of vehicles on the road. New cars,Autos and other transport vehicles fill the road. But traffic is good and with some care, we can enjoy the journey by road. Now the city is in the process of making the main road wider so that transport will be more easy and convenient.
We can see people moving in the city doing one or another thing, doing their jobs or just standing on the road side..Some will be just passing glance at you.People are helpful and neat. But its hard to understand the feelings of anyone unless you are very good at judging people. You will get a feeling of devotion and worship in god if you move along the right places.
Kovalam is a beautiful beach town in the God's own country. The word Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees. The beach town of Kovalam is situated very close to the Thiruvananthapuram city. The pleasing weather of Kovalam attracts many visitors all through the year. Being situated near the sea, it is very much influenced by the land and sea breezes.
Ponmudi is a hillstation in the Thiruvananthapuram city. The name Ponmudi, a hill station so close to the sea, in Malayalam means golden crown. It is blessed with lush green surroundings, hill trails, beautiful streams and a variety of rare butterflies and orchids. The tea-gardens are also famous here. Ponmudi is ideal for trekking and hiking.
The Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, one of the oldest and the best in the country, actually forms part of the Botanical Gardens. The zoo was established as an annexe to the Napier Museum in 1857 by Maharaja Swati Thirunal, the erstwhile maharaja of Travancore.Spread over 55 acres of land in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram, the zoo which is set among woodlands and lakes is a natural habitat for the animals.
Spiritually the place has got magical effect. There are lots of real sanyasis who live here and follow the path unknown to the common man. This is where the truth lies but its hard to realise and find it unless you are destined to know.
